Two labels often appear when homeowners shortlist renovation firms for an HDB flat: CaseTrust accreditation (Consumers Association of Singapore) and a listing on HDB’s Directory of Renovation Contractors. They are different checks. This page explains what each covers and how KeyKaki’s vendor list compares them.
What CaseTrust covers
CaseTrust is an accreditation scheme run by the Consumers Association of Singapore (CASE). For renovation businesses, it sets standards on deposits, contracts, and dispute handling. CASE publishes the accredited list and the scheme rules. Checked against CASE’s CaseTrust renovation page on 4 Nov 2026.

What the HDB Directory covers

Questions
Is CaseTrust the same as the HDB Directory of Renovation Contractors?
No. CaseTrust is a CASE accreditation on consumer-protection standards. The HDB directory is HDB’s list for renovation permit works. A firm can hold one, both, or neither.
How many firms hold both?

Does either label guarantee work quality?
