About & methodology
KeyKaki’s renovation counts come from public registries matched to live ACRA entities: ACRA status on data.gov.sg, HDB’s Directory of Renovation Contractors, CASE’s CaseTrust renovation list (valid date shown), and a BCA registered-contractors snapshot on file. Each profile line states what was checked and the date. We do not show a public trust score yet and we never use Google ratings. Corrections: hello@keykaki.sg.
How ACRA, HDB Directory, CaseTrust and BCA checks are defined
Each check is a named look-up against an official or CASE source. A “pass” means the record matched on the rules below on the date shown — not a government star rating and not a KeyKaki endorsement.
| Check | Registry | What a pass means | What we do not claim |
|---|---|---|---|
| ACRA live | ACRA Information on Corporate Entities (data.gov.sg) | Entity status is Live / Live Company | Not a quality rating |
| HDB Directory of Renovation Contractors | HDB Directory dataset (data.gov.sg) and HDB Looking for Renovation Contractors page | Firm carries an HDB directory reference on our file | Not a workmanship guarantee; HDB does not endorse or guarantee the quality of Directory works |
| CaseTrust | CASE CaseTrust renovation / RCMA lists | Exact name and postal code matched to live ACRA; accreditation not expired on the list date | Not a substitute for the HDB Directory |
| BCA | BCA Listing of Registered Contractors (data.gov.sg) | Workhead or grade string present on our snapshot | Not “unlicensed” if blank — the snapshot may be stale; re-check BCA |

Matching CaseTrust without a UEN: exact name and postal code to a live ACRA entity (and address cross-check). Unmatched listings get no CaseTrust credit until reviewed.
What each “last checked” date means
It is the date KeyKaki last confirmed that field against the named source — not the date the business was founded, and not a promise of daily freshness. Plan: re-check ACRA, HDB, and BCA weekly; CaseTrust from CASE list copies. Struck-off ACRA entities are hidden. Each content page’s Sources block repeats the dates used on that page. HDB rule pages cited across these guides were checked on 4 Nov 2026.
Why trust scores are not shown publicly yet
No public trust scores appear until home-services CaseTrust data and verified KeyKaki reviews (from jobs booked through KeyKaki) exist. Google ratings are not used. Featured listings, when they appear, are labelled Sponsored and cannot change scores or registry facts.
Public methodology weights (when scores eventually show): ACRA live 30; CaseTrust 25; trade licence or registration 15; years operating 15; verified KeyKaki reviews 15.
How to dispute or correct a listing
- Email hello@keykaki.sg.
- Include the official record link (ACRA / HDB / BCA / CASE).
- We re-check the source.
- We update the profile if the source confirms the change.
Questions
Is this a government rating?
No. KeyKaki is independent and is not run by HDB, CASE, BCA or ACRA.
Can payment change registry facts or scores?
No. Sponsored is separate and labelled.
How do you match CaseTrust names without a UEN?
Exact name and postal code to a live ACRA entity, with an address cross-check. Unmatched listings get no CaseTrust credit until reviewed.
How often do you re-check?
We plan to re-check ACRA, HDB and BCA weekly, and CaseTrust against CASE’s published list. HDB rule pages cited in these guides were checked 4 Nov 2026.
